Notes For the

End of Time

--an ongoing project--

Anxiety & Worry

"Don't worry about anything; instead, pray about everything; tell God your needs and don't forget to thank Him for His answers. If you do this, you will experience God's peace, which is far more wonderful than the human mind can understand. His peace will keep your thoughts and your hearts quiet and at rest as you trust in Christ Jesus."

From the Apostle Paul's letter to the Philippians 4:6,7.

 The Living Bible

In the Roman Catholic Communion Rite, this prayer is prayed:

"Deliver us Lord, we pray, from every evil,

graciously grant peace in our days,

that by the help of your mercy,

we may be always free from sin

and safe from all distress,

as we await the blessed hope

and the coming of our Savior, Jesus Christ."

The word distress in the Latin version can also be translated as anxiety, confusion, disorder, and disquiet. Any way I pray it, it brings a measure of consolation.

Fear

God has not given us the spirit of fear, but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.

The Apostle Paul's second letter to Timothy 1:7.
